PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES

  • Specialized behavioral health services encompasses a resident’s whole emotional and mental well-being, which includes, but is not limited to, the prevention and treatment of mental and substance use disorders

  • Psychosocial supportive services delivered in individual or group setting by a licensed mental health professional (including but not limited to LICSW, LADC, LMHC) to help achieve highest level of psychosocial well being

RECOVER/IMPACT/SERVICE/EMPOWERMENT

  • Provide resident centered clinical Social Work services in the context of substance use disorder assessment and interventions. 

  • Focus on relapse prevention, harm reduction, and recovery. 

  • Provide group and individualized treatment interventions to include motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy,  cognitive behavior therapy, and wrap around continuity of care.

  • Social work documentation of individualized session occurrence in collaboration with facility contracted ancillary psychiatric services. 

  • Collaborate with the facility interdisciplinary team to coordinate SUD recovery and resource access as part of the care plan and discharge process. 

  • Support the facilities process of facilitating additional behavioral health support from contracted psychiatric and behavioral health services for 1:1 psycho-therapy and medication monitoring and management. 

  • Encourage Therapeutic Activities program.

  • Explore treatment options with the resident in the context of Strength Perspective and resident centered care. 

  • Provide Resources in the resident’s geographic area to include service as appropriate such as: 

    • Inpatient/Residential Support Services

      • CSS, TSS, Half-Way House

    • Sober Living environment (Mass Alliance of Sober Housing)

    • Intensive Outpatient Program

    • Medication management including psychotropics and MOUD (Suboxone, Methadone, Vivitrol) 

    • Outpatient services for SUD and co-occurring psychiatric disorders

    • AA/NA meeting options. 

      • locations in the community and Online/Virtual  resources. 

    • Homeless prevention and intervention resources.
